INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON IONTRONICS 2024
October 31 - November 1, 2024
Tateshina, Nagano, Japan
A Message from the Workshop Organizers
Iontronics is an innovative and interdisciplinary academic field born from an encounter between ionics and electronics, which is defined as ion-controlled electronics. The accumulation, transfer, exchange, and reaction of ions and electrons near the interface between various materials (e.g., single crystals, thin films, and low-dimensional materials) and electrolytes are typically utilized to derive unique electronic/chemical states or their useful dynamics that could not be obtained in any other way. Iontronics works as an indispensable building block of both fundamental research and a wide range of applications.
The International Workshop on Iontronics 2024, which will be held from October 31 to November 1, 2024 in Nagano, Japan, provides a forum to researchers from universities and research institutes, working on topics related to Iontronics. At this workshop, about 20 invited presentations by world top-class researchers are scheduled, in addition to opening and closing events. The International Workshop on Iontronics 2024 is dedicated to sharing the latest knowledge, discoveries, and innovative ideas in the field of Iontronics.
The workshop presents an unprecedented opportunity for expert researchers to participate in a global network to promote iontronics research and development to help solve serious worldwide problems, such as energy and resource depletion, environmental pollution, and the information explosion, based on the excellent functionalities presented by iontronics.
